Sloan Manis Real Estate Partners was founded in 2012 by David Sloan and Aaron Manis. We pride ourselves on forming long-standing relationships with our clients by offering exceptional friendly service and going the extra mile to ensure the client’s best interests are met.

David Sloan

David Sloan, a native of Charlottesville, graduated from the University of Virginia in 1977, where he played football and lacrosse, was a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity, Eli Banana, Imp Society, and lived on the Lawn as a Fourth Year. After a 20-year career as the owner of Sloan’s Restaurant in Charlottesville, David entered real estate in 2000. David has sold over $150 million in real estate, consistently placing him in the Top Producers category of the local Real Estate Association. In 2012, David joined forces with Aaron Manis to form Sloan Manis Real Estate Partners. David and his wife Kim have three daughters and live in the Earlysville area of Albemarle County.

Aaron Manis

Aaron Manis began his real estate career in 2000, after attending Hobart College in Geneva, NY. Aaron’s background includes a wide range of knowledge and experience in farm and estate, land, residential and commercial property transactions. As the principal broker of Sloan Manis Estate Partners, Aaron oversees every aspect of every transaction that falls under our banner, working to support all our agents and their clients, in addition to his own.

Aaron lives in the Ivy area of Albemarle County with his wife Catherine, their two boys and a slew of dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, pigs and cows.

Brenda has been a licensed Realtor® in Virginia since 2007 and a broker/Owner since 2019. She has recently located in the Charlottesville area. Robert Barton

Robert Barton is a native of Wise County, Virginia. He holds a B.A. in Business and Economics from King College (Bristol, TN) and completed two years of graduate work in accounting at the University of Virginia. After several years of work in public accounting as a CPA, he made the move into real estate. He and his wife Virginia raised four sons during their time in the Charlottesville area. Robert has been a full-time licensed real estate agent/broker for over 30 years. His experience as a trained financial professional and realtor serves his clients well.

Brian Roy

Brian Roy

Brian Roy has been involved in every type of real estate over his 20 years in the business, including single-family residential, apartments, and large offices/commercial buildings. However, his passion is historic properties. After graduating from the University of Virginia in 1994, Brian started in the investment business with Morgan Stanley. In 2001, he decided to pursue his interest in real estate, going to work for a development company with a diverse portfolio of property types and investments. Brian oversaw all levels of financing and asset management. In 2009, Brian ventured out on his own, creating his own development and management company consulting on all types of real estate, investment properties and financing. In 2017, he purchased the Woolen Mills property, a 100,000 sq. ft. 1900”s warehouse near downtown Charlottesville. He has successfully developed it to be the new home for a growing technology company, restaurant and coffee shop while preserving the historic character of this beautiful property. Brian is intimately familiar with the historic tax credit process, rezoning in Charlottesville and Albemarle County and has successfully worked with FEMA regarding flood plain adjustments. In his spare time, Brian enjoys the outdoors, exercising, playing golf and soccer, as well as staying active with his 2 teenage boys.
